The 9-11 Remembrance Flag, also known as the 9-11 "Never Forget" Flag, was created in the aftermath of September 11, 2001 by Gwen Loiacono of Wilmington, NC

 

What began as a dream of creating a flag that would honor those who lost their lives- became a lasting symbol of remembrance. The flag was created to honor the victims, their families, survivors, rescue workers, members of the Armed Forces, and everyone whose lives were forever changed by September 11, 2001.

For more than two decades, Gwen has continued the mission behind the flag: to make sure we NEVER FORGET.

Thousands of these flags have been donated to the 9-11 family members, rescue workers, memorials, and other places around the world.

The History of the 9-11 Remembrance Flag is documented by independent historical and military sources.

In 2004, the New York National Guard Times reported that the

9-11 Never Forget Flag was designed by Gwendolyn Loiacono and also known as the "Never Forget" Flag.

This website exists to preserve that history- and continue the mission that began in 2001.​
